Richard is a graduate of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria, where he obtained a degree in Law (LLB) with honours. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws (BL) degree from the Nigerian Law School.

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. His area of expertise includes but is not limited to aviation law, civil and criminal law, corporate law and practice, family law, labour law, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), property law and human rights enforcement.
